During 2008/2009, the Office of Mine Reclamation (OMR) will conduct a series of 2-Day SMARA training workshops designed to help lead agencies and mine operators understand their respective roles and responsibilities under SMARA. These workshops are offered at no charge and are open to lead agencies, mine operators, consultants, and other interested parties.
One day focuses on SMARA Reporting and Compliance, and one day focuses on Preparation and Review of Reclamation Plans. These workshops also provide an opportunity for participants to meet and ask questions of OMR staff.
